I have news!
Do you recall a certain 'uninvited guest' I mentioned?
I made a mistake in my kill technique (because it was huge and I was scared!) and it went missing.
It was missing for a couple weeks now...so I was hoping it went to spidey hell!
But yesterday, I was proved wrong...as I saw a fresh web had been made over the weekend.
How are you still alive??
There's no other bugs (that I'm aware of) in there...and it's been probably over a month now!
Were you sent to this Earth just to torment me?!?
(That's clearly all it could be.)
But, just this morning, my chance to redeem my previous kill attempt arose.
He had recently been living in the glove compartment as he was resting just outside.
I hesitated for a moment...I almost felt bad for the little (HUGE) guy.
Here he was, just resting...hoping for a little morsel of food to land in his web, while I squashed him dead.
Kill shot.
It was a flat surface, so I used the trusty Kleenex box again.
It was over quickly.
Hey, I did say I ALMOST felt bad for him...he IS still a spider after all, and he's been in MY space far too long...
My vehicle is now SPIDER FREE!
Unless he did end up laying eggs somewhere...
They're probably in my brain...
Great...
Love you too.

Is that...sun I see?!
Well hey there! I'm the person that blogs for a couple days and then suddenly is MIA ;)
Nice to see you around here regardless of my negligence...
ANYWHO. I know, I've been doing poorly. Sometimes, life gets in the way y'know?
Then again...I definitely let it ;)
I actually have a few new things to share! But I'm going to hold out on ya until tomorrow.
Can you wait?
I think you can!
Well lately, we've been having no shortage of rain...but thanks to my blogging pal Amber, and her well wishes for sunny days, sunny days have indeed appeared! Just today, the sun came out today and with it, a big old smile on my face! (Now the Joker doesn't have to put it there for me - YAY!)
Why cannot I share more today?
Well because I haven't read a book in...well, many a month. And today I's just gots to do it!
I wouldn't say life is getting in the way...I got something up, didn't I?
A sister of mine was bugging me to give 'The Night Circus' a read quite some time ago and today...I'm starting ;)
This one's for you Hettie!
Love you too.

PS. Spidey (no, not Toby Maguire) has still not been found. I'm hoping he finally went to spider...hell.
Not because he was a bad spider... but because, in my world, that's where all spiders would go.

Uninvited 'Guest'
So there's been a few hot days here (not lately...because it's been rainy) and when it's hot, I like to leave my sunroof open to let a little fresh air in.
Well recently, a little something crept in... making the fresh air most definitely NOT worth it.
Now I wouldn't say I have many fears...but bugs and especially spiders (and moths) are pretty up there on my list. (Right behind not being able to have ice cream). It's not a huge issue when they're outside, but when they're in my house or in an small space with me...that's a BIG issue.
At first all I could see was the big web on the right part of my windshield...and as much as I wanted to, I knew I couldn't wipe that away.
Why? Well because then who knows where that critter will go??!
At least when there's a web, he'll generally keep close to that!
After about a week of living (or driving, rather) in a state of fear, the spider unveiled itself...and it was BIG!
Of course I was driving...and I was most definitely distracted by the monstrosity!
I continued to drive with one eye on the spider, one eye on the road (however that works...probably not very well) and I decided I needed to do something about it.
SO the next stoplight, I grabbed a box of kleenex.
What should I have done? Taken about 50 or so kleenex and killed the bastard! Once and for all!
What did I do? I tried smooshing it....yes, with the whole box.
So OF COURSE the spider is now missing.
Did I hit it?
Where's the body??
I don't see the body!
Did I miss?
Where is it?
All I need to know is if it's alive or dead!!!
Now who knows where it is!?
It's probably after me...
It's probably on my head!
Or burrowing into my ear!
Great...it's laying eggs on me and I'm going to die...
So as the above thought process was happening...I was clearly a little freaked out ;)
When finally I saw it. And, sadly, it was NOT dead.
But he knew...he knew what I had tried to do.
So he began crawling ever closer...taunting me with his menacing spidery legs and fuzzy body.
I did what any rational person would do....DROVE FASTER! I had to get home and away from the beast!
I'm sure the police officer would understand, or at least kill the spider!
He (it's a he now) clearly wanted to torment me because, about 2 minutes from home, he retreated back into the darkness to hide until another day.
Now I couldn't send Scott out to slay the beast and again, I'm stuck. Not knowing where he is or when he'll attack.
It's been over a week. I'm hoping he'll eventually just die on his own.
Is this irrational? Probably...but it doesn't feel that way.
Haven't you seen Arachnophobia :P
What're you afraid of?
How about creepy critters?
What would YOU have done in my situation?
If I die, it's from the eggs he laid in my ear...
Help me.
Love you too.
